Tomorrow is December 21, 2012. The date is notable for a couple of reasons. Most important to me personally is that if my father-in-law hadn’t passed earlier this year, it would be my in-laws’ 50-something wedding anniversary. Wow! It was encouraging just to know them and see that some couples can make it work. I still miss him.
The other event of note which is, hmm…how to put this…anticipated (?) tomorrow is
THE END OF THE WORLD!
Other viewpoints are that 12/21/12 will usher in a time of spiritual transformation. Pfft. Not that I wouldn’t support such a change but seriously, do you see the materialistic society we’ve become transforming for the better? I suppose there’s always hope, otherwise why are we here?
As for the various cataclysmic events predicted, the experts on all things (snort!) Wikipedia said, “… astronomers have rejected the various proposed doomsday scenarios as pseudoscience.” Awww, no Zombie Apocalypse?

I literally just had a conversation with a co-worker, and he said he hopes there IS some sort of apocalypse, just to switch things up a bit. The cubicle has turned his brain.
Um, yeah. That would definitely change things up…but “a bit”? Not so much. Some people. Sigh.
If I leave a comment and the world ends, that might be considered my last words right??? The pressure……the upside is no one will be around to read said last words so whatever I say is moot anyway. So…..In the words of Clark Griswold I leave the world with this last sentiment:
“We’re all in this together. This is a full-blown, four-alarm holiday emergency here. We’re gonna press on, and we’re gonna have the hap, hap, happiest Christmas since Bing Crosby tap-danced with Danny fucking Kaye. And when Santa squeezes his fat white ass down that chimney tonight, he’s gonna find the jolliest bunch of assholes this side of the nuthouse.”
